Much of the
beautiful Northern Rivers was once a
spectacular sub-tropical rainforest area which was cleared for grazing
early at the turn of the last Century. There are still pockets left at
some places such as Booyong and Victoria Park.
Because our area has some of the richest soil in the country the whole
area is highlighted by vivid green rolling fields and pasture land.
Take a drive through
tree-canopied country roads to quaint villages such as Federal,
Eureka, Rosebank and the Channon. Stop for morning or
afternoon tea at one of the many cafes along the way and enjoy good
food and friendly country hospitality. Pack a picnic lunch or BBQ to
take to the Border National Park and the Nightcap Ranges.
Try Minyon Falls or relax at the Rocky
Creek Dam. All have excellent facilities including free
gas Bar-B-Ques, rest rooms, shelters, etc. with many planned walks from
"easy stroll" to fit walker status.
On leaving the verdant
area of the hinterland, head towards our spectacular coast line. A 30
minute drive to Byron Bay can take you through
interesting locations such Coorabell, Binna Burra,
Bangalow and Coopers Shoot. A stay at Mylinfield
guarantees access to all of this natural beauty without the "maddening
crowds" and traffic associated with coastal tourism.
We Guarantee a stay at Mylinfield
will leave you refreshed, reinvigorated and ready for whatever your
working life has in store.
